Apple seeds: Apple seeds contain raw materials for hydrocyanic acid. This is released as soon as the seeds are bitten. Hydrocyanic acid reduces oxygen uptake in the organs and this can lead to headache, confusion, dizziness, fatigue, panic, shortness of breath, nausea. The shortness of breath can cause the dog to fall into a coma and even die.

Pear seeds: Pear seeds contain raw materials for hydrocyanic acid. This is released as soon as the seeds are bitten.
